SUU Senior Portfolio — Assignment 1 Plan, Resume, and Artist Statement

Senior Portfolio Students Complete the following:

1. In one paragraph explain what your plans are following graduation.

2. Write your resume. (do not design it at this point)

3. In no more than one page and no less than one page 12pt font single space write a statement about your artwork or design.  (this is a statement not an autobiography or and argument)

example: Incorrect. "Chocolate is the best!" This is an argument disguised as a statement.
                            vs.
               Correct. "I love chocolate!" This is a statement and cannot be argued.

These three documents should be printed out and turned in by Tuseday, September 2, 2014

Senior Portfolio Capstone Exhibition Students Complete the following:


1. Create 2 mood boards: one that explores unexpected ideas for your project and one to focus your design idea. 

2. Using the process/concept sketch method work through each of the different parts of your capstone project several different ideas for the design.  

3. Sketch a few exploratory thumbnail ideas for the design. 

4. Finally write a 5 to 10 sentence statement that clearly articulates the idea for your project.
